Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to improve students´ mastery of concept understanding in the algorithm learning by implemented a system of cyber-blog. Cyber-blog is web-based software that combines the functions of web and blog in the form of a video or computer simulations sourced from the Internet or from the researcher itself. This study use Quasi Experimental Design. Quasi-Experimental Design is a method of research that aims to determine whether there is a result of a treatment in a subject and compared with subjects who did not receive treatment. Subjects were students in Vocational High School, Department of Software Engineering in Bandung. Data were collected by using a student concept mastery test and field notes and will be developed a special computer-based media in the learning algorithm which is considered difficult. Analysis of data is using analytical tests to student mastery concept test and Linkert scale (5, 4, 2, and 1) to yield the percentage of students in learning achievement. The purpose of designing, building and using cyber-blog system in this algorithm learning is expected to increase students´ mastery of the understanding the concept. Most of the students gave positive responses regarding the learning that using cyber-blog system. This is demonstrated by the acquisition of a percentage of the questionnaire amounted to 70.83%.
