Abstract :
This paper presents a compact dual-band microstrip band pass filter for 2.4 and 5.2 GHz WLAN applications. The proposed filter configuration consists of two parallel stepped impedance resonators altered to form small groove in the high impedance portion. Further, this structure is coupled to I/O and O/P transmission lines. A prototype model of the proposed filter is developed and characteristics of the filter are obtained in terms of S-parameters. A good agreement is seen between the simulation and measured results.
