Abstract :
This paper presents the simulation study of a castor leaf-shaped quasi-self-complementary antenna for broadband applications. The optimal design of proposed antenna provides -10 dB reflection coefficient bandwidth of 2-12 GHz. It is fed with 50 Ω coplanar waveguide (CPW) with in-built matching circuit. The antenna provides directive radiation pattern along with average gain value of 4.36 dB and more than 80 % radiation efficiency over its operating frequency band. The input and radiation characteristics are obtained through simulation using Ansys High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) software.
