Abstract :
The authors studied the dielectric relaxation of benzothiazole and 2-methylbenzothiazole in pure liquid and in nonpolar solvents. The relaxation occurred by a cooperative effect in which a group of molecules were involved instead of a single molecule. The cooperative effect occurred from the fact that reaction field of dipole affected the orientations of molecules. The decrease of relaxation time with temperature was a normal behaviour. Dipole moments were calculated with the Onsager´s equation.
