Abstract :
This work deals with the design of a sliding mode observer with a multi-surfaces sliding mode controller (SMC) for a mechanical sensorless pumping system. The observer is designed to estimate the speed and the mechanical position of the DC motor operating in the process. Robustness tests validated by simulation show the effectiveness of the sliding mode observer associated with this control approach (SMC).
