  • Abstract
Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) has been widely used in variable-speed Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS). The aim of this paper is to present a comparative study in term of the dynamic performances between two classical controllers Proportional Integral (PI) and Integral Proportional (IP) to control a DFIG during grid faults, which are represented by a voltage dip on all three phases of the grid voltage. Firstly, we are developed the model mathematic of the generator. Then, we introduced the technical of stator-flux-oriented vector control to decouple the stator active and reactive powers to simulate the behaviour of the wind turbine generator during fault conditions. The results of simulations realized under Matlab/Simulink, are analyzed and interpreted to show the performances of each controller.
