Abstract :
In this paper, an electrically small, broadband printed monopole antenna is presented. The compactness and wideband performance of this antenna are achieved by using meandered line feed and top loading techniques. The antenna has a size of 0.17Λ0 X 0.14Λ0 at lowest frequency of operation. The antenna offers a 3:1 VSWR bandwidth of 23% in VHF band of operation.
