Abstract :
This paper reports a time domain pulse technique for measuring the minimum shielding effectiveness of coaxial cable assemblies. Experimental data for coaxial cable assemblies are presented and compared. The paper also presents a simplified circuit model to simulate the experiment, which confirms the validity of the measurement scheme. At high frequencies, this method of measuring shielding effectiveness is demonstrated to be a more reliable and time-effective alternative to well-known frequency domain techniques
