Abstract :
A compact coplanar waveguide fed MIMO antenna for UWB applications is designed and analyzed in this paper. The proposed antenna is etched on substrate whose relative permittivity 4.4 with overall dimensions of 25mm × 25mm × 1.6mm. It has wide bandwidth ranging from 2.7-12GHz defined by -10dB return loss except at notch band frequencies at 3.1-3.9 GHz (WiMAX), IEEE 802.11a bands (5.15-5.35 GHz, 5.725-5.825 GHz), 5-6 GHz (WLAN) and 7.5-8.4 GHz ITU(8 GHz), 9-10.5 GHz. Directivity gain, envelope correlation coefficient and its radiation characteristics represents good performance of diversity system.
