Abstract :
Electrical breakdown and conduction of PET films has been investigated above room temperature. The breakdown process above 140°C has been discussed quantitatively with theoretical equations based on the theories of impulse thermal breakdown and hopping conduction. Besides, a significant space charge effect on the electric breakdown was observed below Tg.
