Abstract :
Nowadays with the frequent occurrence of natural disasters, there is a great demand for accurate and fast novel localization techniques for search and rescue. Thanks for modern wireless communication technology, lots of people own a mobile phone today. In disaster scenarios, the radio signals of the phones can prove the existence of victims, which is referred to as spectrum sensing. Generally, the cooperative spectrum sensing can increase the detection performance greatly. The famous fusion rules in cooperative spectrum sensing are AND fusion rule, OR fusion rule and the K-out-of-N fusion rule, among which OR rule are thought to have the best performance. In this paper, the detection performances of those three fusion rules with various N under Rayleigh fading are studied and compared. Besides, an improved fusion rule based on K-out-of-N fusion rule is proposed, and a better detection effect is achieved by choosing an appropriate K for a specific N. Finally, a table is made as a guideline to help choose the K value.
