            Abstract : 
A generalized signal model for squint frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is established in this paper, based on which it is convenient to investigate the properties of squint FMCW SAR. Correspondingly, the modified frequency scaling (FS) algorithm for both side-look and squint FMCW SAR is proposed with detailed procedures, it has the advantages of reducing the frequency range of FS factor and is possible to adjust the layout of SAR images. Simulated tests and theoretical analysis proved the proposed signal model is correct and the proposed algorithm is available.
