Abstract
A novel near-field spherical measurement facility well suited to EMC random emission measurements is introduced. The technique which allows extension of antenna near-field techniques to random emissions is based on the measurement of the spatial coherence of the near-fields taken at two different points and for a given frequency. An experimental setup has been designed and tested, and the measurement technique has been experimentally validated. We present GSM telephone handset emission measurements at 900 MHz
