Abstract
Several SPICE models for the simulation of a multiconductor-transmission-line (MTL) system including losses are compared. These models include the SPICE build-in model, the conventional RLC-lumped model, the pseudo-lumped model and a new hybrid model. They are compared in both the frequency and time domains. It is shown that the accuracy of the new hybrid model is equivalent to SPICE´s own model but without its limitations. The pseudo-lumped model may be used to efficiently model low loss systems with a very small reduction in accuracy
