Abstract :
When conducting measurement surveys, it is sometimes necessary to use antennas in environments that are less than ideal from a measurement perspective. In this paper, a method of moments software code is used to simulate the antenna factor of a 0.5 m dipole for three cases: when it is in the far field of the radiating source, when it is in the near field of the radiating source but not close to any other metal objects, and when it is in the near field of the source, and close to a large scattering object. Results are provided comparing the computed antenna factor for each
