Abstract :
Theoretical and experimental transient methods are proposed for connector characterization and more particularly for radiation evaluation. From transients results scattering parameters, the radiation losses are deduced. These techniques are applied to pigtail coaxial cable connections and to a 15 pins SUBD connector. They show that the pigtail coaxial cable junction position has a dominant effect on radiation
