Abstract :
In this paper, the design and fabrication of a dual-polarized planar ultra-wideband antenna array working in the range of 6-20GHz are presented. The array is comprised of tightly coupled printable dipoles and uses a dielectric cover layer to broaden the bandwidth. The antenna is fed through coaxial line and the feeding structure is carefully designed to ensure impedance matching, reduce the manufacturing difficulty and cost. An 8×8 size array has been designed and fabricated, the array exhibits a measured VSWR<;2 in the range of 6.8-20GHz.
