Abstract
The development of advanced multifunctional aerospace structures has attracted significant interest in recent years due to the rise of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). It is now feasible to engineer multifunctional structures that achieve significant weight savings through the efficient integration of the desired sensors. This paper gives an overview of the recent activities in advanced multifunctional aerospace structures concerned with the integration of microwave and antenna systems.
