Abstract :
A new Fourier split-step parabolic equation (FSSPE) algorithm based on the variable step length technique is introduced for the numerical simulation of radio wave propagation through large irregular complex terrain. The computational efficiency of the conventional fixed range step FSSPE has been greatly improved compared with conventional fixed step FSSPE algorithm.
