Abstract :
A 4-port deembedding technique is developed to remove the effects of microstrip feeds from a half-mode waveguide distributed amplifier. It is shown that the feeds are the main cause of gain ripple and port mismatch in both near-ideal and practical half-mode waveguide distributed amplifiers.
