Abstract
This paper focuses on the effective geometric anechoic chamber design for reliability of tests. The performance of anechoic chambers depends on reflection by ceiling, floor, and side walls. Based on image method, we trace all possible rays up to the 4th order reflection from Tx to Rx inside an anechoic chamber. With regard to three different anechoic chamber structures, angle-of-arrival (AoA) distributions of reflected rays are shown to certify reflection effect in the three chambers. Tendency of distribution aligned to phi axis or theta axis is shown in the case of a cuboidal anechoic chamber, whereas scattered distribution of incident rays is shown inside an anechoic chamber which has slanted ceiling and a slanted side wall. Considering the geometric structure of an anechoic chamber, the reflection effect of the anechoic chamber can be effectively reduced and the performance of the anechoic chamber is improved.
