Abstract
Two new broadband CP reflectarray elements operating at 15 GHz are proposed and two reflectarrays with the corresponding elements are simulated. The results of a traditional reflectarray consisting of the split ring element at 15 GHz are presented for comparison. As the results show that the bandwidths of the proposed elements and reflectarrays are improved efficiently compared to the split ring element and the corresponding reflectarray. The highest aperture efficiency of the reflectarrays consisting of the two proposed elements are 50.9% and 53.3% respectively, which are apparently higher than 46.4% of the traditional reflectarray.
