Abstract :
This paper explores the addition of noise in the linear domain to a conventional Doppler tomography image. Algorithms that are commonly used to reconstruct a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) set of data do not include components to cater for any noise produced in the measurement process. A simulated addition of linear noise in a SAR image plane is presented depicting a significant rise in noise floor for the image domain.
