Abstract
In this paper, a wide band single-mode substrate integrated coaxial line (SICL) with the coplanar waveguide (CPW) transition is presented, which is capable of working from DC to 40GHz. The proposed SICL is manufactured with low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) process. A vertical via hole is employed to drive the signal from SICL to a coplanar structure with characteristic impedance matching. The measured results of S parameters agree well with the simulated results from DC to 40GHz. Finally, the data rate up to 32Gb/s is achieved with the proposed SICL interconnect, including good eye diagram and low bit error rate (BER).
