  • Abstract
We experimentally characterize a transparent and bidirectional fibre-wireless-fibre link with a wide field-of-view >60° (full-cone) at a transceivers´ range of ~ 3 metres. The potential for indoor Terabit data rate via wavelength division multiplexing techniques is demonstrated. The use of single-mode vs multi-mode fibres is also explored using a holographic beamsteering setup. The angular steering accuracy required for the multi-mode fibre is found to be ~ 1° compared to ~ 0.1° for the single-mode.
