Abstract
This research paper attempts to investigate the mechanisms through what the firms create, evaluate, transfer and assimilate new knowledge and how they transform it into organizational routines. To do it, the authors propose a model of knowledge that summarize the main steps and features of the process of creating knowledge within the organizations. A specific case study is developed for the purpose of validating the proposed model
