Abstract :
There are different types of models for organizational learning (OL) varying from simple to complex, and linear to nonlinear. It is generally accepted that both radical and incremental learning types can enhance survival and prosperity under some condition, but also can hurt organizations in other conditions. Therefore the significance does exist in the matching of OL modes with the conditions. Specifically, based on the authors´ previous work five OL modes can be identified: adaptive learning, maintenance learning, developmental learning, transitional learning and creative learning. Furthermore, they propose in this paper, that if they pay attention to OL through the whole innovation cycle, three OL layers can be observed. They are infra-structural learning, operational learning and strategic learning
