Abstract :
Steganography is a popular field in communication engineering because of its wide range of applications. It deals with hiding data inside a digital image, video or audio file without creating any detectable changes, which makes the detection of the embedded information difficult. Based on the cover that is used to hide the data, steganography can be classified into different sections, e.g., text steganography, audio steganography, image steganography, video steganography etc. Image steganography is particularly popular as the changes are hardly detectable after the steganographic process. Unfortunately, most of the image steganographic algorithms do not take into account the influence of different attacks or noises due to the transmission process which make the algorithms inadequate real world applications. In this paper, we have proposed a Hilbert curve based technique to embed information in an image using the neuropsychological behavior of human vision system which is robust to different attacks like cropping, scratching, additive noise etc.
