Abstract :
In this paper, the design of cascaded integrator comb interpolator for software defined ratio (SDR) is presented. It´s mainly focuses on the realization of CIC interpolator with various valuable factors like interpolation factor, differential delay and the used stages on the transmitted and received signal after passing the transmitted signal through CIC interpolator and received signal through the CIC decimator with the same parameters as interpolator. It also shows the effect of increment frequency of input signal on the CIC interpolator´s output. Number of section determines the pass band attenuation and increment in this enhances the capability of the CIC interpolator but increase the roll off in filter pass band. For avoiding this FIR compensate filter is used in the proposed work. The proposed CIC interpolator performs sample rate conversion powerfully using only addition and subtraction building them attractive for SDR application Also, paper shows complete effect of CIC interpolator for Additive White Gaussian Noise channel.
