Abstract :
The Monte Carlo method is first used to estimate the contribution of multiple scattering to signals of a monostatic sodar operating in plane-stratified turbulent atmosphere. Numerical estimates of multiple scattering contributions are presented as functions of the sodar parameters, and atmospheric conditions.
