Abstract :
In this article we have presented the results of theoretical and experimental studies of the phenomenon of mass transfer in the processing of steel and cast iron with cutters made of the composite 10. We have proved the effect of saturation of the surface coating with nitrogen, which enhances the possibilities of the process control of the running-in period of high-precision friction pairs.
