Abstract :
A closed-form expression is presented for the Chebyshev polynomial of the first kind for the cases when the argument is a non-unity scalar multiple of x and when the argument is an arbitrary amplitude cosine. These results find application when designing impedance matching networks using the Chebyshev polynomial; in particular, for degree greater than four.
