Abstract :
This paper studies the effects of PIFA antenna on human head as well as effects of human head on antenna performance. The maximum values of SAR at different positions in addition to different orientations of antenna with respect to the head model are calculated. SAR values are acceptable under the standard limits. (IEEE C95.1: 1999 with threshold 1.6 W/kg in a SAR 1 gm and IEEE C95.1: 2005 has been updated to 2 W/kg in a 10 gm). Computational results show that the SAR averaging over 10gm is more accurate than that for 1gm. The antenna is analyzed using CST Microwave Studio.
