LTE services over the 800 MHz band: Interference effects on DVB-T channels caused by the uplink signal

In the present paper some experimental results related to the effects produced by an interferential LTE signal transmitted from a mobile terminal when it is nearby an antenna receiving DVB-T signals are summarized. The results achieved with this study have the purpose of providing to mobile and broadcast operators useful information about the impact of LTE services when they are operating at the 800 MHz frequency band. Measurements have been conducted in the Istituto Superiore delle Comunicazioni e delle Tecnologie dell´Informazione (ISCTI) laboratory of MiSE (Ministry of Economic Development) considering different experimental set-ups. An analysis of results in terms of protection ratio has been reported.
