Abstract :
Summary form only given. This paper briefly defines and discusses e-commerce solutions available to businesses and why companies are motivated to participate. It further defines marketplaces and by summarizing the current research. Results from inductive research on B2B marketplace processes that were not possible before the advent of Internet are described. Finally, a discussion is included on what B2B marketplace developments can be expected in the near future
