Abstract
Logistics in the food sector have become an increasingly important factor in increasing competitiveness. This paper concludes that despite the vast distribution of technology throughout the food supply industry, rural producers still face many difficulties and challenges in becoming integrated into such new systems. However, the producers who are able to acquire and utilize the new and innovative technologies have been able to build long-term relationships as suppliers to the regional retail chains
