Abstract :
Summary form only given. Successful implementation of IMT-2000 services will be decided in the market. Therefore, the strategy for the IMT-2000 industry should be planned with the view of the market. Many studies have adopted various estimation methods to measure economic efficiency on IMT-2000 services. The ITU-R forecasted the marketability of IMT-2000 services and introduced a method to estimate service channel requirements and terrestrial spectrum requirements in the IMT-2000 networks in 2010 based on the estimation of wireless transmission parameters. Because most of the huge amount of investment cost of the IMT-2000 services will be allocated to the construction of radio access networks and core networks in particular, this study attempts to provide IMT-2000 industry with the number of service channel and terrestrial spectrum requirements based on ITU-R recommendation in 1999
