  • Abstract
In this study, for medical diagnostics, the polymer-based two-dimensional photonic crystal (2D-PhC) was fabricated using nanoimprint lithography (NIL)-based nanooptical device fabrication technology that called as "printable photonics". In addition, polymer-based 2D-PhC was applied for detection of fibrinogen which is a biomarker to diagnose the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) using antigen-antibody reaction. Based on printable photonics technology, the polymer-based nanooptical device which act in visible region could be fabricated cost effectively and easily. Furthermore, by using our polymer-based 2D-PhC, fibrinogen could detect sensitively and rapidly.
