Abstract :
In this work, we described the synthesis and characterization of charged iridium complexes, namely [(dimethyl 2, 2´-bipyridine-3, 3´-dicarboxylate)-bis-(2-(phenyl)-pyridine-C2´, N)-iridium(III)] hexafluorophosphate (NU-02), (dimethyl 2,2´-bipyridine 3, 3´dicarboxylate)-bis-(phenyl-4-trifluoromethylpyridine)-iridium(III) hexafluorophosphate (SY-11) and [(1,10-phenanthroline-5, 6-dione)-bis-(phenyl-4-trifluoromethyl pyridine)-iridium(III)] hexafluorophosphate (WS-02) which were used for amine chemical sensor. We found that the reaction color of our complexes can be monitored with UV-Vis absorption and naked eye. The reactive moieties ligand of WS-02 was immediately changed the color from yellow to green within 30 seconds.
