Abstract :
We propose and demonstrate a new type of electro-optic spatial light modulator consisting of cascaded periodically-poled Raman-Nath gratings. The modulator of 1024 pixels for practical application was designed through the beam propagation method simulation, and fabricated in MgO:LiNbO3. Good performances and a fine exposed pattern sufficient for practical use were obtained.
