Abstract :
We have proposed and developed array-antenna-electrode electro-optic modulators for next-generation millimeter-wave wireless links. In this paper, newly fabricated modulators with a long array of 16 elements and low-optical loss are reported. The wireless-optical signal conversion was successfully demonstrated at 59 GHz with a modulation index of 20 mrad by 20 mW irradiation.
