  • Abstract
A Data Warehouse is designed with a multidimensional structure using fact tables and dimension tables, oriented towards indicator systems that support decision-making. The most common loads associated with these systems are applied to the fact table, assuming that all dimensions are common or time-independent, which can lead to abnormalities in data representation at the Front End level. Proposals have been made for updating the dimension tables which call this process Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), focusing on relational database design. In this research, an improved response time is shown for queries associated with a Data Warehouse design for Changing Dimensions tables, comparing response times for SCD data in Relational Database and Object-Relational. The research focuses on proposing a general design for Object-Relational of SCD data types 1-4, illustrated with an example that allows to compare the performance.
