            Abstract : 
In this paper, a novel method is proposed for robust fault diagnosis (FD) within a fault tolerant control (FTC) strategy of actuator failures for a DFIG-based wind turbines (WT). Actuator failures are detected and compensated using a FTC scheme based Proportional Integral Observer (PIO) to allow normal operation of the DFIG. Indeed, estimation error dynamics stability is treated with the Lyapunov theory, then the PIO and fault tolerant controller matrices gains are obtained by solving a system of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). A simulation study is provided in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
