Abstract :
In this paper, a simplified transfer matrix formalism is used to model the electromagnetic properties of simple shield constructed of a conductive sheet. The relationships obtained of the reflection loss, the internal reflection, the absorption loss and the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness are simple, easy to use and can be applied for all samples that fulfill the classical good-conductor approximation for both electrically thin as well as electrically thick over the frequency range of interest. Analysis is carried out for the study of the reflection loss, the internal reflection, the absorption loss and the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of the polypyrrole-chitosan conducting composite.
