Abstract :
This paper presents a robust linear quadratic regulator (LQR) based on deduction of Q-R matrix to find optimal gains for a DC-DC multilevel boost converter (MBC) operating in conduction continuous mode (CCM). Depending on converter´s commutation states and using the electrical equivalent circuits, the mathematical model of MBC converter is built. A nonlinear reduced order model of two level boost converter is also obtained. For validation, Matlab/Simulink software has been used. The simulation results are presented and a comparaison studies with PI controller are perfomed. It has been shown that the robusteness of robust LOR controller is better than PI controller.
