Measurement and verification of energy saving in smart building technologies

Proper evaluation of energy saving effect due to implementation of smart building technologies in residences requires statistical samples of treatment and control households. We show how to create a non-experimental control sample and use it for saving evaluation on the basis of a novel algorithm for prediction of participation propensity.
