Abstract
In this paper, we propose a control technique based on backstepping control theory, this technique is applied to control the power generated by wind turbine, in which the generator used is a double feed induction generator (DFIG). The proposed control laws are derived from the Lyapunov approach which is well suited for this nonlinear system. The nonlinear backstepping controller to be used for the control of the designed system is studied and compared with a classical proportional-integral controller for a Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS). Simulations tests are done to validate the effectiveness of the technique of control proposed.
