  • Abstract
    Detailed energy profiles generate significant data sets. A technique, based on linear regression of a piece-wise linear interpolation, exploits the noise estimate to decide if the current line is still valid. Compression ratios greater than 100 have been routinely found, with errors introduced in the energy estimate being less than 0.001%.
