Abstract :
in this paper, a MATLAB-Simscape-based model for the simulation of a Photovoltaic (PV) generator is presented and discussed. The MPPT techniques based on Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) are simple to be developed and can provide high efficiency in the control of the PV systems. For this purpose a detailed analysis and a comparative study have been provided for two fuzzy logic MPPT methods recently published. The first is based on a modified hill climbing-FLC and the second one is based on adaptive P&O-FLC. Moreover, The conventional P&O has been developed. The developed techniques have been simulated in the MATLAB-Simulink environment to show the method for which the performances of PV system are increased. The results obtained, revealed the performance of the adaptive P&O-FLC MPPT over the remaining examined methods with negligible static error, fast time response and high efficiency under fast variation of irradiance level.
