Abstract :
Now Canal ship use internal combustion engine as power source which rely on nonrenewable resource and cause air pollution, noise pollution, oil spill pollution. In order to solve the problem, a new type of Canal ship based on overhead wires is designed. Through learning from the operating and construction principle of trolleybus, the overhead wires are set up over the Canal which supply power for the Canal ship. For the sake of solving the problem of variation of water level and route deviation, a new current connection device, route deviation control system and switch tracks system were designed. At the same time, the physical model have been set up. Due to the proportion of clean energy increase yearly, the emission of shore power is lower than internal combustion engine. So, if the canal ship use the shore power instead of internal combustion engine, it can reduce the emission of the ship.
